Sara Shostak (Ph.D., Sociology, University of California San Francisco, 2003) is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Brandeis University.  Shostak specializes in the Sociology of Health and Illness, Science and Technology Studies, Sociology of the Body, Social and Ethical Dimensions of Genetics, Environmental Health and Justice Movements, and Qualitative Research Methods. She researches Gene-Environment interactions and race in the context of health disparities genomics.
